Healthcare Providers CPR / AED Introduction

Cardiac arrest is known to be the leading cause of death in numerous countries all over the world. The victim meets with this condition when the heart fails to function hence, normal breathing also stops. In such situations, CPR works as a lifesaving procedure. CPR is performed on a patient suffering from cardiac arrest in order to circulate the blood to the patient’s brain.

Basic life support (BLS) for a patient going through cardiac arrest includes high-quality CPR and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). BLS is also comprised of the delivery of ventilations to the patients in respiratory arrest.
